It seems buying domestic batteries for a boat is about as complicated as buying the boat itself.

So Many Choices. So Many Different Prices.

And all the old geezers on the boating chat groups have So Many Opinions.

These things are named like they're promising a lifestyle rather than a selling a necessity: "Adventurer Leisure battery".

The boat's domestic batteries are aging and need a bit of relief once the sun sets. Solar panels don't work by starlight. 🌞

The freezer has a couple of bottles of ice, to keep things chilled overnight, when the fridge dial gets adjusted from 2 to ½. One ice bottle moves to the fridge at night.

About once a week there's a forgotten thawing bottle of ice in the fridge all day instead of refreezing in the freezer.

@KarlHeinzHasliP @denki Personally, I think that standardized #batteries that get swapped would've been the solution to the charging speed problem.

#BEV|s are a problem and the #EnergyDensity and #Charging problems are hard walls that can only be circumvented (i.e. swapping fluids at a #RedoxFlow-#Battery) or ignored (i.e. #Methanol #FuelCell)...

Solving the #EnergyProblem isn't a technological issue, but a political one (see #DESERTEC)...
