I published a new pre-release of my Android Morse trainer Dahdidahdit. You can now use an external mouse (or an adapter that pretends to be one) as a Morse key. The new version should also install on Android 15. I'd be very happy if somebody with an actual Android 15 phone could test it and let me know about the results. (It runs on an Android 15 emulator but the emulator is super slow, so testing there is nearly impossible.)

Die is großartig!

The only thing I truly hate on Android is how the Share dialog literally buries all my most used apps and chats.

Like, there is no way that isn't some malicious design. I texted someone today for the first time. And it shot into one of the top spots.

I bought myself the two hundred dollarest phone, a Moto G 2025. I chose it because it was $300 or less, and a case was in stock at the store.

My last phone, a Pixel 5, was starting to bulge out of the case and sound was cutting out sometimes.

Hopefully, this is just a temp phone until the Furilabs FLX1 arrives, but I'm not entirely confident I'll receive it. Not because of the company, but because of the lack of exports from China due to the shit the US pulled.

I'm exploring Google maps alternatives for car navigation. Today I tried TomTom. First impression: pretty clear display, cool visualisation of events on route, but some of the map data is awfully outdated - for example, it shows a car park that ceased to exist years ago.

What other Android apps should I try? Live traffic info is a must-have.

Google is working on a big UI overhaul for Android

When Google released the fourth beta of Android 16 this month, many users were disappointed by the lack of major UI changes. As Beta 4 is the final beta, it’s likely the stable Android 16 release won’t look much different than last year’s release. However, that might not hold true for subsequent updates. Google recently confirmed it wi
