I could not imagine being less interested in which aging, necromantic goblin the Vatican installs as pope. Fuck the Roman Catholic Church. Their stolen and unholy wealth should be expropriated by the people and used for restitution, their lands returned to indigenous people, and their pedophilic priests burned at the stake--the fires of which to be lit by their victims.

I usually listen to #LBC in the morning but tomorrow they are covering the death of some Brazilian guy who millions worshipped for some incomprehensible reason.

So #music is the alternative.

AC/DC would be good but their album Highway to Hell ... if you believe in #hell then you have to believe in #heaven so nope.

#trance will be the solution because to me, if you believe in ANY religion, then you are in some sort of conditioned trance.

Fuck #religion #catholic #pope

In 2022, Pope Francis wrote a personal Letter to Educators for Journeys in Film to include in our curriculum guide for Francesco, the award-winning Pope Francis documentary by Evgeny Afineevsky. We hope that this letter provides inspiration and comfort to educators of all kinds, regardless of faith or philosophy, and that you will share it with the teachers in your life.

“On Easter Sunday, Littlechild said he watched the Pope's last public appearance on TV, where Francis was struggling to speak. He died the following morning.

Littlechild said he was very sad to hear of the death but happy Francis has found peace.

He said he has asked the Vatican for permission to attend the Pope's funeral on Saturday.

"To have a friend leave you in this way is sad, and you're at a loss of words."

Francis restored respectful relationships with Indigenous people, Littlechild said.

"But I'm always told that we have a long way to go. And, yes, we do," he said.

"Will the next pope elevate us to that next step?””

I was called 'anti-christian'
That is not fair to me or to christianity.

I am anti-any and all religions.

I am an atheist.

No gods.

It boggles my mind that people believe in effectively sky fairies.

Doesn't matter what religion you follow I think you are ... weird. I reserve a particular vitriol for the Catholic church after what happened to me.

I don't go banging on about it though, so if you don't talk religion we'll get along just fine.

I have to say I was a fan of Pope Francis. He wasn’t perfect, but he was a huge upgrade from the previous couple of pontiffs, particularly Benedict. I spent over a decade in #Catholic schools, starting with middle school and ending in college. Both high school and college were #Jesuit schools, and I’m forever thankful to the Jesuits for what they taught me, first and foremost the ability to think critically, a skill that seems to be going the way of the dinosaur. I never converted to Catholicism, as I’ve always had issues with the structure of the church itself. But I find it extremely distasteful that Francis is being called a #woke Pope and a #DEI Pope by some. Actually, I don’t think those folks would have any issue with DEI so long as it was preceded by Opus. I would hope that the next Pontiff would focus on the same issues Francis did, the same issues I learned were the most important in my Jesuit education. I know that’s probably too much to ask. The Catholicism practiced by the likes of JD Vance and Damuel Alito is something I scarcely recognize.

I was raised as a Catholic and went to Catholic schools, and now is a time of great significance.

The conclave will start soon, and I'm hoping the cardinals will take the necessary decision and vote to shut down the entire Catholic church. The whole thing's an embarrassment at best.

I think the best way to handle it is to transition all church property to government and community ownership. Where the Church has been running aged care, schools or hospitals, they can be converted to public facilities.

The infrastructure used for ritual could be converted into arts and cultural facilities. Financial assets could be invested in public housing. The priests and whatnot could retrain as tradies.

‘He felt our pain’: Catholic church in Gaza grieves Pope Francis’s death

Pope made nightly phone calls to the Holy Family #Catholic church from the start of the war in October 2023

"The first time he spoke to #PopeFrancis during the pontiff’s nightly calls to the Holy Family Catholic church in #Gaza City, the congregant George Antone, 44, found himself at a loss for words.

It was October 2023, a few weeks after #Hamas ignited a devastating war in the Gaza Strip by attacking #Israel. The #Palestinian territory’s tiny Christian community had taken shelter in the strip’s three churches, but that didn’t mean they were safe. An #Israeli airstrike had just hit the Greek Orthodox church, killing 18 people; soon, snipers and bombs would also kill civilians at the Holy Family."
