Affinity Photo is better than GIMP, but Inkscape is WAY better than Affinity Designer.

Používám Photo a Publisher a dělám v nich vše kromě vyvolávání RAWček na které je pořád z mé zkušenosti nejlepší Adobe Lightroom.
Konkrétně používám ze zvyku Lightroom Classic.
Každopádně tím, že si za svou grafickou práci ať už přímo či nepřímo účtuji, tak se mi Affinity "zaplatilo" už nespočetněkrát.

Ich bin auch von #Affinity sowohl begeistert und zugleich enttäuscht, wegen der mangelnden #Linux Unterstützung. Ich konnte Affinity Version 1 mal aus einer guten Flasche #Wine heraus starten, aber leider keine Dateien speichern. Danach habe ich meine Bemühungen in diese Richtung eingestellt.
Seit kurzem benutze ich #Krita. Krita ist auf allen PC Plattformen verfügbar. Für die Windows nativen Programme ist auch eine VM gut geeignet.

Anyone else here use #AffinityDesigner? I want to trace shapes from a scanned image. Is there a tool to do that? I mean, drag a marquee over the placed image and a vector shape is created sort of thing.
It seems odd I can’t find one. Such things existed way back in FreeHand and Illustrator n the last millennium.

@tanquist @toddo previsely that is why #Microsoft, #Adobe, #Oracle, #Cisco et. al. are basically handing out free #licenses (or absurdly discounted bulk licensing deals) to #education institutions given they don't teach competing technologies (i.e. #Linux, #Affinity, #PostgreSQL & #tnsr in these cases)...
- And I wish I was joking but this is the sad truth!

Ich finde es wirklich schade, dass #Affinity - die echt gute Adobe Alternativen machen - nicht für Linux entwickelt. Und mit Wine funktioniert es leider auch nicht.
Não sei se sabem, mas a Affinity foi comprada pelo Canva, ai quem tem conta estudante no Canva pode baixar tanto no desktop quanto iPad. Fiz esse desenho pra testar o Affinity Designer 2 no iPad. #canva #Affinity #iPad #gingacomtapioca #rn

I just cancelled my #Adobe subscription and bought the #Affinity Apps universal license from Serif. https://affinity.serif.com/
I'm not jingoistic in the slightest, but buying from a UK company rather than a US one was a surprising cherry on top. Thanks JD Vance. (Always add the JD, because we've got a *lot* to thank Jack Vance for, and I want nobody confusing numbnuts with brilliance)

Affinity ist super, das nutze ich parallel. Aber wenn du übersetzte Handbücher im Originalformat zurückgeben musst, führt halt kein Weg an der Lock-in-Apotheke vorbei.
