Dear #AmericanMusicalSupply, I know you know what a PRS Custom 24-08 is, because I've bought one from you before. This AI abomination absolutely does not in any way look better than an actual picture of the guitar you are trying to sell. This one shows strap locks on the side for some reason, pickups designed for 5 strings with a bridge for 8 strings and what is that fretwork?
Oh shit, the "Google AI Overview" crap has arrived on some of the Japan servers. After learning that 菌床栽培 (plank-cultured) shiitake are the counterpart to 原木栽培 (log-cultured) shiitake that Mieko preferred, I do a quick search for 菌床 to learn more, and an "AI Overview" fills the screen with some irrelevant babbling about bacteria on the floor?

Hey there, I thought I'd #askFedi because I'm already tired of #AI (#LLM) #slop killing the #web (and #computing in general), and it looks like it's only going to get worse. Is there a #movement that seeks to connect and promote content, #software, services, etc. made by actual #humanBeings? Maybe with a campaign badge.
Was trying to recall a song that seemed to linger in my memory. The voice in my head seemed similar to Stiff Little Fingers, so I gave "stiff little fingers they gave you a number" a go on Google.
And it delivered. Not the song, but this slop.
There is no such album.
No such song.
No such lyric.
Zero sympathy for anybody who voluntarily uses those solutions and eats a pizza with glue or worse.
Piss on carpet.

Some people actually like painting in the style that is now being copied by AI slop, and it must suck when people call their art fake.
But I very much doubt any writer who writes articles enjoy writing in the style of AI slop. If you write something and people are calling it slop, you're either really bad at it, or were drunk while you did it.

A mate of mine recently confessed he was enjoying a youtube background music compilation of "Mississippi Delta Blues" even after he found out the music and video were AI generated.
I listened to it for a few minutes and it was a ghastly caricature of the blues. Unlistenable to my ear.
I told him not to worry; stealing the blues from southern black folk is practically traditional at this point.

This is either "AI" #slop or someone who really, really doesn't understand electricity and audio signals. It's talking about a standard 3.5mm headphone/mic jack on consumer audio devices, and says this when talking about straight vs. right-angle plugs:
