One of my alltime favorite things in #Paris is this sculpture of smiling LaFontaine from 1983, near the little Ranelagh neighborhood in the northwest. I don't know the fables of his that feature the raven, coin, and fox, but love to see them all. Malware is a model designed to correct other malfunctioning robots. He was intended to infect and commandeer their operating systems, and ultimately force a fresh reinstall.
But Malware finds these units to be delightfully unique rather than broken. Instead of hacking into buggy bots to change them, he acts as a sort of guardian, identifying and patching their vulnerabilities so they can secretly carry on as they are. Some systems may indeed wind up prey to Malware's viruses, however - databases tracking buggy bots go offline now and then, and suspicion is growing around whether this model is functioning as intended.

Went for a bike ride with the kids looking for goose washes (mud puddles) since it rained last night, we ended up just riding the trails all morning and afternoon. Talked to a dude who was 81 and lived in Berkeley that’s been into cycling his entire life. A real OG.
Also saw a raven nest in a saguaro which was probably the best birthday present I could ever get.
I feel a real affinity for ravens. Probably because I've always been a big Poe fan. 
Regardless, this guy/gal visited my office yesterday. The pic is taken through 2 glass doors with a zoom, so sorry it's kinda fuzzy.
Spotted a new ravens’ nest in the cathedral last Wednesday. I didn’t know what to call this architectural feature, but it seems like an alcove?
