I took a photo of some movie that was on TV about 10 years ago, seeing what looks like an Acorn computer of some sort on the desk, and this is what I got. I'm not really sure what's going on here and I'm equally unsure if I want to know.
We had this weird steel bridge in the back of the barn leading to a disused outhouse. It was in the way of todays operations, so I hooked it up and dragged it away. Alas, as I turned around to see if it's following nicely, I see a field mouse sprinting away in panic mode, the steel roof of its previously impenetrable fortress ripped away by force majeure, its safe tunnels and carefully stored acorn stashes exposed to open air!
Oops. Sorry mouse.
Working in an Acorn RISC PC600 which Had battery damage.
Looking lime this without VRAM module ... so the error must be around the onboard VRAM or it's logic.
Any hints?
There are at least two, TWO people on my feed that will be interested in this.

here's my #introduction ... very much into computer history and history of computation, the BBC's Computer Literacy Project, computer museums, assembly language programming, a bit of Basic, running programs in the browser and sometimes running programs from the command line.
my one claim to fame is having a bit to do with visual6502.
I don't subscribe to very many streaming services. Right now it's just Apple (Severance!!) and Acorn. There are a lot of great police murder mysteries on Acorn I really like. Currently watching the extensive library of Midsomer Murders with my husband. In addition I recently finished The Gone set in New Zealand, I really liked it (where is season 2??). Currently watching A Remarkable Place to Die set in Australia. I'd love recommendations for other good shows on Acorn. #Acorn #TV #Mysteries
@jess Yes, but first Arcs were released in June 1987 so this feels a bit early.
Need a #retroComputing, #BBC and #Acorn history geek....
Desperately seeking suggestions for the best Solitaire or Mahjongg games on all retro systems. Preferably with screenshots.
Anyone have any leads on a retailer of acorn flour in Canada? Like, we have so many oak trees, and I know it was a traditional ingredient for people here. It seems kinda bonkers that the only non-American retailer that I can find is Turkish.

Just found out about a 2009 TV film on retro computing called "Micro Men". It's a sort of comedy-drama about UK computer manufacturers in the 1980s, done on a tiny budget by mixing in archive footage. It works really well!
