Ariel Kroon<p>Anyone have any leads on a retailer of acorn flour in Canada? Like, we have so many oak trees, and I know it was a traditional ingredient for people here. Douglas<p>I've never seen so many <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/acorns" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>acorns</span></a> from the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/oaktrees" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>oaktrees</span></a> in our neighborhood in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Monterey" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Monterey</span></a> (or anywhere else for that matter) ever before. All of the animals that eat acorns are getting ridiculously fat. This has to be at least 10x the amount we've had the last few years </p><p>I wonder why we've got so many acorns this year.</p>

It's gnarled, twisted and seriously holed in its lower trunk, and and I have no idea how many species it's housing or has housed in its lifetime, but they say 2,300 is the ballpark number for <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/oaktrees" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>oaktrees</span></a>. I'd like to think this particular oak could be that capacious. They also say an oak takes hundreds of years to grow and a similar number of years, if left to its own devices, to die.
