Galaxy Watch7 and Watch6 Manager Update (April 2025)

Today, Samsung has rolled out the Galaxy Watch7 Manager and the Galaxy Watch6 Manager update globally as they’re working on an update for both smartwatches. You can now download the update through Galaxy Wearable > Devices > Menu > Settings > About. If there is an update available for your device, you should see the update button as below:

The download size for this update is 155 MB, depending on the smartwatch model. Once the update is downloaded, you’ll be able to experience the new version of the Galaxy Wearable app and its manager plugins for your watch. This is done to improve reliability and performance, ensuring that you will be able to interact with your smartwatch more efficiently.

After the update, the following versions will be used:

  • Galaxy Wearable: 2.2.61.24112961
  • Galaxy Watch6 Manager: 2.2.13.25033151
  • Galaxy Watch7 Manager: 2.2.15.25010651

This update is necessary to align with the One UI 7 design elements.

I had a Casio MDV106 that lasted a little under a year before I broke the acrylic face, I don’t even remember how it broke. I just want a reliable #watch that ideally has a date function and illumination. A quartz face is a must for durability at this point though.

Today's #watch — fresh from the mail — is a mechanical, hand-wound Felca. Gold-plated 34mm case, silver dial, a nice pin-shaped red seconds hand. As for the period, I'd say 1940s-1950s. Felca is a Swiss watch brand founded in 1919 as Felco, then renamed Felca. In the 1950s the brand expanded its business to Asia and started making watches under the name Titoni. Later, they merged the two brands and now they're just Titoni. Still making beautiful watches 100 years later.

Today’s #watch has been this Timex Expedition TW4B01900. Bought new for about €55 during last year’s Black Friday. Quartz movement. The indiglo feature is truly useful to see the hour in the dark. And I love the orange seconds hand.

When I was getting punched in the face during the nineties, my anxiety would often vanish simply because my “enemy” wasn’t in the room with me when I got home. Today, kids get beaten up or humiliated and are sent a video afterward, posted for the whole world to see.

SharanAdolescence: Healthy dose of fear for better parentingI watched a show called Adolescence. It made me want to puke and hug my child at the same time, preferably not to puke on her

I've replaced the battery on my Pebble Time Steel and looking forward to charge it again after I've emptied the battery completely for the first time. It's running since 2025-03-21 = around 10 days and it's still at 4%.

Regarding the drops: I wasn't able to wear it all the time (first I've attached the screen using tape and when glueing it back on, a pin of my wristband failed...)

Hello Fedi, I’m looking for a #watch #recommendation. ⏱️🧐

I daily drive an Apple Watch Series 9 45mm and I’d like to experiment with something less computerized.

I want something relatively light (current watch + wristband weighs 50g), comfortable, digital or analog.

I want something reliable. Ideally, I won’t to have to set the time apart from DST or traveling (better if that can be handled automatically).

Bonus points for stopwatch/timer features.
Water resistance not required.

Today’s #watch finally arrived in the mail, after almost 20 days of wait (the parcel was untracked, adding to my trepidation). It’s a 15-jewel Junghans from the 1960s. Mechanical, hand-wound. Well-preserved gold plating. I believe this kind of design is called ‘tuxedo dial’. The lume material in the hands has deteriorated, but I don’t mind. This is also my smallest vintage watch, with a diameter of just 32mm.

Today I switched out my Galaxy 6 Classic smartwatch for my old G-Shock in an effort to distance myself from my phone. It went surprisingly well. I never realized how distracting that thing on my wrist could be with all the various notifications. Going forward I think I'm going to switch out watches every few days. The G-Shock and Citizen could use the sun anyway, they're solar. 🌞

Have a good evening everyone!

Today's #watch just got a new battery! It's my LIP Type 10 "Croix du Sud" (quartz movement, obviously). 40mm diameter.

Type 10 aviation wristwatches were produced since 1935 and used by Jean Mermoz, an aviator and a French national hero.

Croix Du Sud (The Southern Cross) was the name of a Latecoere 300 plane used by Jean Mermoz in his South American expeditions. Sadly on 7 Dec 1936 the plane disappeared at sea.

In memory of Jean Mermoz, LIP reissued the Type 10 in 2001.
