@cobweb One of the reasons I love #QubesOS. Oh, you want to compromise this freshly created VM, with no data on it other than this document that I'm opening, that will cease to exist as soon as I close it? Be my guest!
But, uh, yeah, the situation sucks :(

🌟 To all Qubes OS enthusiasts! 🌟

Now, let's talk Android!

Have you integrated Android into your Qubes OS environment?

We're eager to learn about your experiences and any use cases you've come across.

Share your experiences and let's learn from each other! 🌞

@GrapheneOS @356875ffd729b06eeb4c1d7a70a1f750045d067774d21c0faffe4af2bf96a2e8 Fair enough. However, Private Spaces don't really have a separate user environment associated with them, and they represent a slightly different conceptual model.

What I'm saying is that AOSP could also have decided to not create a thing called "Private Spaces" but instead made a UI for integrating User Profiles into the current profile, that effectively would be the same thing as "Private Spaces" but would also stick to the same conceptual mental model.

So instead of Private Spaces, there'd be a UI for running apps from a different User Profile in the current one, similar to how #QubesOS works. Qubes actually runs entire different VMs side-by-side, and you can transfer data between them, including clipboard contents.

So with a single thing called "User Profiles" you'd be able to both "log in to the user profile" and "launch isolated apps from that profile inside of this one". There would be only one thing to manage mentally: the user profiles, instead of User Profiles + Private Spaces.
