Today, great Desktop applications embed our tools to enable smooth #BPMN modeling on your computer. Turning websites into offline applications has also become much easier.

That is why we say goodbye to our Chrome Extension 👋 ⚱️.

While working on #Operaton, our #Camunda 7 fork, a community member asked a question on the performance of the job executor in a scaleable environment. His test setup and experiments showed, that it did not scale well, confirming existing preconceptions.

The discussion led to a work-in-progress feature for the Operaton engine, using `FOR UPATE ... SKIP LOCKED` on #postgres, #mariab, #mysql and #oracledb.

A (long) time ago, my first job consisted of implementing workflows using the Staffware engine. I didn’t use #workflow engines in later jobs.

Years ago, I started to automate my conference submission process. I documented it in parallel. Since then, I changed the infrastructure on which I run the software. This post who how I leveraged this change and updated the software accordingly, showcasing the evolution of my approach.
