One pair started to build a nest in an old airco fan right in front of my hotel room window in #Taichung's Xitun district, so I could check them out from up close. Very cool. #Taiwan #travel
Off to #Taoyuan airport in 8.5 hours. Checked out at NYS Loft hotel right at #Taipei main station and now have some time to stroll the city. Not sure what to do yet, really.
As frustrating as the wet and cold weather has been throughout most of the last two weeks, there has been one bright spot about this stay in #Taiwan as well: I finally got some decent images of TW crested #myna #birds in #Taichung and #Taitung. So far they had always outwitted me. #travel #FarEast
Wow. Avoid Shilin nightmarket at all cost when it rains. Plenty of utterly inconsiderate folks trying to whack their umbrellas in your face, hardly any fingerfood and no covered places to sit down and eat. Worst nightmarket of #Taipei, gets kicked into a bin by #Taichung's Fengchia any day. Utterly disappointing. Escaped to Expo Dome now. Too loud there as well. #food #Taiwan #travel
Checked out 10mins before deadline at The Galerie Hotel in #Taichung's Xitun district. Had a fun night out yesterday, ending up at Gong High, close to Gongyi Park. And ran into Jie, a local and well-connected party organizer. Off to #Taipei by HSR for one last night out in #Taiwan now. Already did the online check-in with EVA Air for Sunday'd flight back to Europe. #travel
Grabbed a rusty cheap bike from the hotel (saddle and air pressure too low) and had a jolly good time zipping through #Taitung's Forest Park this afternoon. Still no sign of rain - or a Chinese Invasion. The locals are chill about it. Back to #Taichung tomorrow, had a good time at the East Coast. #Taiwan #travel #cycling

The Lennon Wall in the underpass near SOGO in Taichung is still there. Some parts have been cleaned off or faded since my last visit
