@Geri

I disagree.

Badenoch is purposefully doing the same as Trump and the far right around the world - purposefully spreading lies, easy answers and naming villains to dumben society. It's a strategy, not some failing of skill.

Worse, the media gives them plenty of time, lightly fact checking but still giving them all the gravitas of a real political party. This is how fascism gets normalised.

JFC! When will MSM stop being played by these liars.

It doesn't matter that the MSM hosts "hammer" them, or show facts. These Trump apologists go on air *to be punching bags* just to get their lies out. It's about counter programming and sowing confusion.

There is zero reason for a news program to host a proven liar or gaslighter. None! Doing so, is knowingly spreading disinformation.

You'd think a record-breaking Senate speech by Sen Booker would place higher in the news.

But in the #NYTimes , it's below Val Kilmer's obit and non-news like analysis of #TrumpTariffs on int'l relations and "some conservatives" concerns on immigration policy. SMH

Even when doing analysis on the #AmericanClownEmperor 's destruction of the rule of law, the #NYTimes cannot help but normalize by buying the lede.

What kind of headline is this? "Trump's Not-So-Subtle Purpose in Fighting Big Law Firms"

Another day, another #NYTimes headline normalizing the destruction of the Constitution.

Today, the #AmericanClownEmperor is "trying to consolidate power over courts, Congress and more"

Really it should be "undermining Constitutional checks and balances to assume dictatorial power"

Classic #NYTimes normalizing today.

Headline story about Trump's constitutional crisis, dumbed down with "critics say"

And yet another long form story politely introducing a rightwing extremist to the mainstream, this time Charlie Kirk.

Trump’s Actions Have Created a Constitutional Crisis, Scholars Say nytimes.com/2025/02/10/us/poli

It will take some time, though perhaps only weeks, for a challenge to one of President Trump’s actions to reach the Supreme Court.

Modern crap journalism:

Editor: "Give me 1,000 words on the new NY congestion charge, but don't bother reporting on how congestion charging has worked in London, or anywhere else. Focus on the political back and forth. Oh, and be sure to include Trump's view on it, not matter how irrelevant the POTUS is to New York laws."

Who is one of the 25 "most fascinating people in pop culture" in 2024 who had a portrait in WaPo?

None other than temporary RNC Chair, part-time singer and perenial Senate candidate Lara Trump.

"Less flexible"? Is that what we call sabotaging the ceasefire talks these days?

I see the #NYTimes continues to normalize rightwingers of all types.
