i have seem similar #webapp implementation, i think so far for "that kind" of chat app, the chat app is able to demonstrate similar basic functionality. for a wider adoption, the user interface needs to be more appealing, but i think its important to have a working proof-of-concept first. the project is specifically aiming to be a #javascript #localFirst #webapp.

i generally try to word things in a way that users can provide feedback on features. the app is still in a very early stage, but has a reasonable amount of features. im generally open to requests and questions.

what you see as the chat app is also the #minimum #viable #product. i think its sufficiently demonstrates the basic functionality of a chat app. i think the next step is to make the app more stable and user friendly.
those other apps youve mentions ive come across before. what sets my approach apart is that mine it's purely a webapp. with what id like to describe as #p2p #authentication over #webrtc, im able to remove reliance on a backend for #authenticate #data #connections. in some cases, bypass the internet (wifi/hotspot). while there are several ways to #selfhost, in this approach of a #javascript implementation, im able to store large amounts of data in the browser so things like images and #encryptionKeys can be #selfhosted" in the browser. while this form has nuanced limitations, it also has interesting implications to security and privacy.
there are many nice features from the different apps you mentioned and i think i have some unique features too. the bottle neck in this project is that i dont put in enough time to the app.

Every day go through list and simply change the letters next to the tasks. You will find that B's & C's will turn into D's or E's in the following days freeing you up to do the high priorities (A's). Do this each day and you will know exactly what to do to meet deadlines.

Elon Musk’s charity may bear his name, but it can’t seem to match his penchant for high-dollar spending.
According to a New York Times analysis of his charity’s giving in 2022, the #Musk #Foundation gave out just $160 million in grants
—a whopping $234 million #less #than the five-percent #legal #minimum it needed to distribute between 2021 and 2022.
It was the fourth-largest shortfall of any U.S. charity in 2022, the last year for which records are available.
The revelation was one of multiple in the Times’ report on Musk’s charitable giving, which has often benefited his own associates or those of his companies.
Musk reportedly filled some of the foundation’s coffers by donating Tesla stock, which he is allowed to claim as a tax deduction.
Not all of the charity’s donations have benefited his own interests, however:
The foundation donated more than $1 million to schools in Flint, Michigan, and a charity aimed at helping children there.
But where that foundation donates is still up to him and the foundation’s board—which includes just him and two other volunteers.
Keep in mind that #minimum #wage at the time was less than five bucks an hour. And of course as poor students, all the jobs we could work were minimum wage. It would be like trying to build your project today with transistors that cost $30. Each.

It didn't matter what you needed, they didn't have it in stock. It would take two weeks to order it in.
And it didn't matter how small it was, it was going to #cost ten bucks. I think that may have been a #minimum price for anything not in-stock, but I don't recall for sure.
