@chewie shared a very cool extension with me called #StreetPass for #Mastodon. It’s a browser extension that helps you find your people on Mastodon. Testing it now… I’ll report back in a few days after browsing the web as usual. StreetPass will build a list of Mastodon users based on the websites I visit.

Question for the people who are more in the guts of Mastodon.

Was there a reason to use Postgresql over something like Mariadb?

Just wondering as I try and work on Drupal sites since I am cohosting this instance and a site on the same server and used postgres for Drupal because of the pre-existing Mastodon build.

So, here's a question for all of you.

I want to start blogging about my move into #vanlife and vehicle camping and feel blogging will help.

I have three domains:

TinyopolisUSA
Wanderers-Waypoint

I want to include federated communities into my setup.

Should I Stick with one domain and use the Subdomains to handle add-ons? Should I try and build a community on one and blog on the other?

Who would be interested in an instance built on sharing supernatural and dark fantasy content? Maybe some darker gritty Cyberpunk or TechNoir?

I am thinking of rebuilding an old community I called Darkscribes. I still have the domain but I am doing nothing with it currently. It was the 2000s and we were cringe... But we were free.

Does anyone have a good post for generating a post bot? All I keep finding never really seems to make a lot of sense.

I really don't want to shut down 4 out of 6 of the instances I run, but at the same time I seem to be the only one who is interested in them. And the cost per month to run them is by itself annoying when no one seems to care.

I don't know if having independent instances for the Bots from the sites I am building is worth the compound server costs.
