Mounting the motor like this is going to be alright? Right? 😄 (view from above)

There's going to be 4th mounting point above the stack as well just for the safety. But ideally I want these three to be able to support the motor on their own.

Using the original mounting points and rubber vibration dampener mounts, but slightly concerned about the long beams deflection/yield. Would *not* want to lose the motor onto a motorway!

@chris @vevabc @louis my 1st was a DIY conversion (2007). It was a labour of love and personal growth experience, but expensive!

What you end up with is a one off that will not be easy to sell, as few can service it. The good thing is that electric components are very reliable if desiged & installed correctly.

My suggestions: get a quote on body restoration costs first. Those costs have soared recently. 2nd, cost out a kit from canev.com #evConversion

So what about the battery pack then. 🤔 I recently did some quick sketching and...

I'll split the four module Tesla M3 pack into two packs with two modules each. Rear pack sits below the rear seat and the front pack against the wall between the cargo space and the cabin, probably with some furniture on top of it in the future too.

Wiper assembly cleaned, greased and working flawlessly :) with that installed, dashboard found its place too.

I sometimes get asked how can I do such a huge project on my own. The secret is that it's not one project, it's a series of mini-games to finish one after another.
