We are pleased to announce the 19th issue of the RIDE review journal. The current issue of the “Tools and Environments” section, edited by R. Bleier and @stefandumont, contains as a 'rolling release' the following reviews so far:

* TEI Publisher by @Nadine Sutor and @AndreasMertgens [in german] doi.org/10.18716/ride.a.19.1

* Untangling Data Complexity: Custom Oxygen Frameworks for Edition Projects by J. Bunselmeier and S. Krottmaier doi.org/10.18716/ride.a.19.2.

For edition humboldt digital (ehd, edition-humboldt.de), I've today at #DayOfDH2024 finished the “Nearby places” function for the index of places.

What does the function do? For a place in the index, not only the place itself is marked in a map, but also all other places from the index within a radius of 30 km.

It will be uploaded to the project's internal website tomorrow - the public will be able to use it with the new version of ehd next summer.

🎶A big thanks again to the BACH and eLaute projects 💻 We had two very fruitful discussions during our online meetings over the last weeks and could discuss some common problems in editing and data modeling of our individual projects. Looking forward to future exchanges! 🤝🛠️
