So I guess Samsung and Google are partnering for a new Android XR headset?

...why? :blobfox_w_:​ I feel like Google's time could be better spent making Android on a tablet a less awful experience. That and, like, no offense to Google and Samsung, but if Apple couldn't make a compelling reason to use a VR headset I don't think the teams at Google or Samsung are going to come up with something novel.

It's Google so Android XR is absolutely going to be vaporware, and it's Samsung so it's just them chasing Apple's tail as usual.

That and, to be it bluntly, VR has no widespread consumer use-case outside of gaming. I'm continually perplexed why these companies keep chasing VR as a mainstream product line, it's not going to go anywhere.

Performance is not bad, but the emulator is *very* unstable and drains performance from my M2 Mac like crazy
