I told my best friend that I might start a Floss tube channel and she said to just do it. Floss tube is the name for YouTube videos from the cross stitch community. I have no idea how to connect with people other than to maybe email the peeps that I watch now about it. I figure that all I need is my phone to record, a microphone and some way to edit. That last part might be the hardest to come by as I don't have cash for a program and I also use a Chromebook. Anyway, thinking about how to make this happen.

@suzza I see some articles on installing Audacity on a Chromebook. I used Audacity in the past with relatively simple editing needs and I found it pretty easy to figure out.

@VisualStuart Thank you! That is very helpful.

@suzza
Kdenlive is free (as in speech/beer) editing software that should run on a Chromebook. There's also a free version of Davinci Resolve, which runs on Linux, not sure if it will work on ChromeOS.

@stib I will look into this. Thanks for letting me know.

@suzza I don't know whether it is available for Chromebook, but the programme I use is called Animotica.

@suzza To be honest, the larger difficulty is setting up the camera to see what you are doing without stopping you from doing it!

@virtuosew yes, that is my concern. Especially if I want to do stitch with me type videos. I should probably look up some tutorials.😅

@suzza I think it's a case of playing with the equipment for a while before trying to do something you intend to upload!

@suzza I use a program called shot cut to edit my Minecraft videos. It’s lightweight and I’ve found it very easy to understand/use

It’s free, open source, and should work on Chromebook.

Good luck with your videos!

@Alien_Sunset Nice! This looks really promising.
