Fedi hive mind: board games or card games suitable for a five year old? Ideally collaborative rather than confrontational, requiring skill rather than luck (so the adults have some control over how it's going...). We've got Carcassonne junior and that's a big hit...

@Scmbradley If they like Minecraft then Minecraft Heroes of the Village is a good one. There is an element of luck but there is also strategy and adults can guide things pretty well...

@Scmbradley the “cooperative” version of Blockus, what you want is to fill the whole board with the pieces according to the rules and the team’s score is the number of pieces in the collective pieces left over (the lower the score the better). There is also a family “competitive family” version of “Isle of cats” (I am not entirely sure if it is 5 year old suitable, 8 year old for sure)

@Scmbradley dixit can be played by a 5 year old, I think.
