Seeing reports in the Washington Post that Dobbs and all that forced-birth hate has totally failed in terms of reducing the abortion rate.

Abortions in 2024 went UP 7% (not down) from the 2020 pre-Dobbs rate. Note that in that lockdown year unplanned pregnancies probably went up not down, and that this decision is big enough to limit the effect of covid as a deterrent. This is just KNOWN abortions not self-managed!

In other words, underground direct action works, the underground railroads work, the pill networks work. We are winning and those trying to defeat abortion rights have been clobbered in their goal to reduce abortion rates to zero.

The most extreme fringe of the forced-birth movement is screaming about this, calling for treating women who get abortions as murderers and potentially for EXECUTIONS. This is so divisive most of the forced-birth movement apparently recoils from it, even though it is the logical end of the claim that aborting even a zygote or an embryo is "murder."

Ahh yes: pro-life for executions...
