Trump administration considering issuing #executiveorder to integrate #artificialintelligence into #K12 #education, according to a draft circulated by #WhiteHouse to several federal agencies, obtained by #WashingtonPost. Under the draft executive order federal agencies would be instructed 2 take steps 2 train students in using #AI and incorporate it into #teaching related tasks. The agencies would also be asked to partner w the #privatesector [surprise] to develop relevant programs in #schools

@mloxton And not only in the Trump regime, but these kinds of people - DOGE for example - are out there in the private sector in droves, telling themselves that they are efficient and competent, and super, and mostly the dismal reality of their skillset remains hidden. Now we can see their work product publicly, and what a load of codswallop, what a myth, that the private sector is smart, efficient, well run. #PrivateSector #PublicSector #Incompetence #USPol

Day nine

Not the Opposition leader making apologies for asking Canberra to go back to the Office to work, Not the, “I’m going to “sack the Public servants who do the Education👩‍🏫👨‍🏫 and Health things ⚕️🧑‍⚕️👩‍⚕️” (cite), but this from the Opposition Treasurer. ☢️🛢️

“Well done Angus”.

In an interview with ABC News Breakfast host James Glenday:

TAYLOR “We absolutely not backing down on that, I can assure you, James and we’re not backing down to making sure we drive down prices of electricity.”

GLENDAY asks how exactly the Coalition will pay for it?

TAYLOR “#NuclearPower ☢️ is through to 2050, and it’s substantially lower than the cost of Labor’s policies.”

GLENDAY “It’s hundreds of billions of dollars no matter which way you twist it.”

TAYLOR “Well that’s the #EnergySystem. The energy system much of which is paid for by a combination of the #PrivateSector and #StateGovernments. The piece we will #finance, of course, is the #NuclearGenerators which will deliver a return and that’s how we have modelled it, James.”

Well done Angus, now show me the costings?

With no plan, #Liberal / #LNP make themselves open to critical analysis and thus reverse their decisions when deficiencies are pointed out.

When we think of the #PrivateSector we think of dynamic, forward-thinking ideas. Consider how much #shareholder value private water companies have created through interesting ways of doing business.

When we think of the #PublicSector, we think of old, decaying ideas. Consider how the state provides little to no value to shareholders or businesses, especially when it comes to onerous regulations.

It’s simple: the private sector should be able to do the things that the public sector can do – because they will just do it way better.

Let’s start with #education – A is for #Apple Inc.

“The investigation’s focus will include ‘how the private sector is linked to, invests in and contributes to Israel’s unlawful occupation, racial segregation and apartheid regime in the oPt and the military/security industry underpinning it’.”

@redback Australia, like the US, shifted its manufacturing to China for short-term gains, benefiting private industry with lower costs and higher profits. But now we’re paying the price with lost jobs, skills, and a weakened manufacturing base. The long-term impact is clear—Australia is left scrambling to rebuild what we gave up, and it’s proving a tough challenge.

I'd say many of the points raised in this article also apply to #PrivateSector projects—The New Statesman ask;

‘Why do big #Digital projects in the #PublicSector fail?’

“The success of digital projects relies not only on their execution and delivery, but also on creating the right environment to thrive following their completion.”

I worked for the #ProbationService for 15 yrs. The last 2 for the #privatesector after it was privatised. This article reminded me of my failed attempts to get an extremely risky #domesticabuse case classified as high risk. Bc of privatisation, this meant he would be transferred to the #NPS (who supervised high risk cases) 1/4
