The meeting came less than a week after #Trump’s lengthy phone call with #Putin & took place at a palace in Riyadh, the capital of #SaudiArabia, whose crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman #MBS, has been seeking to elevate his country’s role on the world stage.

Michael Waltz, Trump’s #NationalSecurity adviser, & Steve Witkoff, the #MiddleEast envoy & a longtime friend of Trump, joined #MarcoRubio for the meeting. Witkoff called the meeting “positive, upbeat, constructive.”

The comments, delivered in an interview w/ #FauxNews, came in response to a question about Trump's recent proposal to take over & develop #Gaza.

Herzog did not say when or where the meetings would take place, nor did he discuss their potential content. He also noted Trump is due to meet w/ #Jordan's King Abdullah….

#Trump spoke at length about his call w/ #SaudiArabia’s Mohammed bin Salman. #MBS told Trump that he plans to invest $600B over the next 4 years.

“I’ll be asking the crown prince, who’s a fantastic guy, to round it out to around 1 trillion. I think they’ll do that because we’ve been very good to them.”

During Q&A, Stephen Schwarzman, the Chair, CEO & CoFounder of Blackstone Group began by saying, “I'm sure the crown prince of Saudi Arabia will be really glad you gave this speech today.”
