If Cory Doctorow (@pluralistic) recommends a book, it is worth reading imo. Here’s what he has to say about Sarah Wynn-Williams's 'Careless People'… “I never would have read Careless People, Sarah Wynn-Williams's tell-all memoir about her years running global policy for Facebook, but then Meta's lawyer tried to get the book suppressed and secured an injunction to prevent her from promoting it…” The book, he notes, is full of spicy and delicious insider anecdotes that are revealing and alarming at the same time. I don't carry out #vigilanteJustice like #WhackATroll or mete out punishment to people who "annoy" me and celebrate those with gleeful #toodles.

Instead, I have a #RUDEphilosophy, where the leading acronym R.U.D.E. stand for #Reconcile, #Update, #Disagree, and #Expose:

1. Parties reconcile differences & move on.

2. One party realizes their assumptions were outdated. Update & move on.

3. Parties agree to disagree & move on.

4. One party exposes themselves as a #troll and refuses to move on.

Eventually, you will learn that #RUDE in all uppercase is an acronym (see dictionary) for #Reconcile, #Update, #Disagree, #Expose.
