Our colleagues' impressions of the DPG Spring Meeting in Göttingen from yesterday, part 2.

Pallavi Bekal presented results of her research on the GRACE Follow-On geodesy mission yesterday. She reports on her first DPG experience:

“Although I attended the DPG Spring Meeting 2025 only for a day, I could join three engaging sessions. One was a talk by a former particle physicist on medical physics. It made me think about how remarkable it is that our work on seemingly lifeless particles can be used to save lives. Going to a conference like this opened my mind to the varied topics within physics that one could work on. I will definitely be going again!”

Eindrücke der Kolleg*innen von der DPG-Frühjahrstagung in Göttingen von gestern, Teil 2.

Pallavi Bekal präsentierte gestern Ergebnisse ihrer Forschung an der Geodäsiemission GRACE Follow-On. Sie berichtet über ihre erste DPG-Erfahrung:

„Obwohl ich nur einen Tag lang an der DPG-Frühjahrstagung teilnahm, konnte ich drei spannende Sitzungen besuchen. Eine davon war ein Vortrag eines ehemaligen Teilchenphysikers über Medizinphysik. Dabei wurde mir bewusst, wie bemerkenswert es ist, dass unsere Arbeit mit scheinbar leblosen Teilchen dazu dienen kann, Leben zu retten. Der Besuch einer Konferenz wie dieser hat mir die vielfältigen Themen innerhalb der Physik nähergebracht, an denen man arbeiten kann. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen!“
