The Seattle Police Officers Guild is suing the Seattle Police for being slow as fuck with records requests.
This all stems from an SPD policy where if you make more than one records request they will group and process your orders one at a time, each taking possibly months or years.
Which I for one am extremely happy to see the SPOG helping us cop watchers have more tools to expose the bad behavior of SPOG members
#UCLA #Gaza #Protesters Sue #Cops for Shooting Them in the Head With #RubberBullets
Protesters were being attacked by a #ProIsrael mob when cops showed up and fired at them with rubber bullets — whose use is restricted by law.

Police conspired to violently attacks anti-genocide protesters at the University of California, Los Angeles last year, according to a suit filed last week in Los Angeles Superior Court.
At the height of the school’s encampment against Israel’s war on Gaza last spring, one of hundreds across the country, a mob of pro-Israel protesters attacked pro-Palestine protesters for more than four hours. On the night of April 30, 2024, police stood by and watched as counter-protesters aimed and shot fireworks, sprayed chemical agents, harassed, and sexually assaulted pro-Palestine protesters, students and faculty alleged last month in a separate, ongoing lawsuit.

The day after the melee, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, UCLA administrators, and seven different law enforcement agencies laid plans to dismantle the school’s encampment for good.
UCLA invited multiple outside police forces to campus to clear the encampments on May 1. More than 700 police officers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the Los Angeles Police Department, California Highway Patrol, the University of California Police Department, and private security were on campus the night of the raid.
Protesters are now suing the state of California, which oversees California Highway Patrol, and the city of Los Angeles, which oversees the LAPD, for violence against the demonstrations. The police fired more than 50 rounds of rubber bullets at protesters, striking several people in the head; some of the injuries sent demonstrators to the hospital.

I just had a weird experience at Target—my girlfriend and I were bra shopping and this fucking sketchy crew-cut white guy in jeans and a kinda well-worn—not quite clean—white undershirt is keeping an eye on us and another woman. Then he speaks into a hidden collar mic. I couldn't quite hear him, but it sounded like he was talking about a woman.
Then, as we were checking out, he was over by the restrooms—still looking sketchy as fuck—and watching people (including us). Then I caught him following us out, but he turned around and went back in after a few feet.
We got back to the car and I told my partner my observations. I thought he might be private security...or some conservative transvestigator fucker—it really could have been either (or both) with the way he was acting.
We decided to go back in to make sure he wasn't hassling anyone. Sure enough, he was still looking sketchy AF and following people around the women's section and towards the exit. So we reported him. The lady who worked there told us he's their security, and that she'd let him know we said he should be less fucking sketchy.
We plan to do our first print run of SPD cards in the next few months, but first, we need to gauge interest.
Fill out this form for updates:
Well, we know why he was strong arming all those white shoe law firms into donating half a trillion in legal work...they’ll be defending cops who kill citizens the administration doesn’t like. You remember all the cops who have been trained by the IDF on how to treat “enemy civilians”? Yeah, we now have as much right to oppose police actions as the Palestinians.
Oh, and in direct opposition to the constitution, military will now be used for civilian disorder. Welcome to the SS. I did try to warn everyone.
I shared this post a few weeks back which included a grammatical error. By the time I shared, the comments had already turned into a dogpile of teacher's pets climbing over each other to point out the mistake or congratulate themselves on having caught it. But here's the thing:
Less vs Fewer is the pedantry of those who have gained the first inkling—no more—of an appreciation for the English language. They wield it gleefully like a yardstick across the knuckles of their peers. These are people who never properly mourned the death of their master, and are thus condemned to a cycle of perpetually unattainable gratification of the master in their head.
What's more, they also miss an important evolution of language that is revealing in its implicit critique. Less vs Fewer reflects not merely the degradation of instruction or of the culture of literacy, but is inextricably linked to the massification of economy, culture, bodies, and therefore language. One may speak of "less cops" because cops are in an important sense not individuated. They are a mass, and treating them as such is an essential part of understanding what they are, and how they operate symbolically. It is also necessary to understanding them as individuals.
Yes, it is incorrect in a sense (and I'm hardly one to point the finger for agonizing over grammatical minutiae). But to grasp what's happening linguistically it's necessary to look further than the fact that an error has been committed, to look instead into how and why language has been detourned in this way, and what latent meaning its misuse might reveal.
@georgrestle das gefährliche sind schießwürige #Cops die Leute ohne #AlmanPassing abknallen und dafür nichtmals in Knast müssen, obwohl es erwiesenermaßen #Vorsatz ist!

Fucking #JillStein didn't get arrested at a pro #Palestine protest in 2024 just so that y'all could call #BernieSanders & #AOC a revolutionary while he silently watches #cops drag away #protesters at his rallies.
At least the crowd has some values.
It's already been an authoritarian police state. Some of us just had the privilege to ignore what happens to the people the cops trample with impunity.
@ProPublica The worst part is there are so many ignorant #Americans including #cops who think this is reality. They have no clue about the science or technology behind the cases.
