Tollerton airfield, near Nottingham, has been operating since 1929.

Die #concorde als Schauplatz war zuerst da. Ich entdeckte ein Modell des Flugzeugs in einem Geschäft und während ich davorstand und es betrachtete, sprang mich die Idee an, darüber einen Roman zu schreiben. Zuerst sollte er in Frankreich spielen und Konstanze erschien auch recht bald, aber aufgrund der Promidichte verlegte ich den Handlungsort nach England. So wurde der Captain schließlich auch Engländer.

I lived west of Heathrow while #Concorde was still flying. On some routes leaving Heathrow, it would make a turn and climb out above my neighborhood. Just house shaking can't-hear-the-person-on-the-phone loud.
