Alvaro :python: :rstats:<p>I've had this happen MANY times in the 2 or so years since I started using <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/nvim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nvim</span></a>. I get used to a certain muscle memory / pattern, then every so often I google something random and discover a seemingly basic feature that makes me go "this is a thing??? and I didn't know about it until now?????!!!"</p><p>which makes me think: how many things am I missing out on? It already feels like I've learned a lot over the years, and yet...</p>

Paweł Grzybek<p>I am looking forward to the TypeScript rewrite in Go. Paweł Grzybek<p>Working with large TypeScript projects in Neovim can be painful. It is not a fault of Neovim, but the hacky LSP implementation on top of tsserver. It made me realise how much work Microsoft engineers put in to make this experience bearable in VSCode.</p><p>Working with Rust or Go codebases in Neovim with a simple LSP config is a breeze. It makes me want to cry a little bit when I need to jump back on the TS project.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/neovim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>neovim</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/nvim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nvim</span></a></p>

Light🐧⁂<p>I think I found an easter egg in neovim :neovim: just by chance, I typed ":smile" as a command and it gave me an ASCII art as the output. 🤩<br>Video below shows the output, I had to record the output because if I took only a screenshot more then half of the output would had been cut off. I know a screen cast is a bit too much just to show an ASCII art, but this is the only way that I can show the whole output. 😅</p><p><a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/neovim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>neovim</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/nvim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nvim</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/easteregg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>easteregg</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/ascii" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ascii</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/asciiart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>asciiart</span></a></p>
Jonathan Hartley<p>Anyone using <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/nvim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nvim</span></a> v0.11's new simplified LSP config with <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ruff" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ruff</span></a> server yet? I upgraded and tried out the simpler config last night, removed my old equivalent, and I can't get LSP to enable on a Python file. I've included vim.lsp.enable('python'), which matches the name of the server config I created. Will have to try again today, maybe with an otherwise empty nvim config and debug logging, see if I can figure it... Pointers to ruff specific docs or working examples appreciated.</p>
