Marcos Dione<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.online/@vwbusguy" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>vwbusguy</span></a></span> From elevation data I derive four datasets: slope angle, elevation based colors, contour lines and hill shades. The latter could be made with <a href="https://en.osm.town/tags/Blender" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Blender</span></a>, and it looks awesome, but its _really_ expensive and I haven't managed to fully automate it, so I use a tool called <a href="https://en.osm.town/tags/GDAL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GDAL</span></a> like everybody else. Besides that, I use almost the same stack as <a href="https://en.osm.town/tags/OpenStreetMap" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OpenStreetMap</span></a>: <a href="https://en.osm.town/tags/carto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>carto</span></a>-css for styling, <a href="https://en.osm.town/tags/mapnik" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>mapnik</span></a> for rendering, and my own set of tools for orchestrating and serving that.</p>
