The latter could be made with <a href="https://en.osm.town/tags/Blender" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Blender</a>, and it looks awesome, but its _really_ expensive and I haven't managed to fully automate it, so I use a tool called <a href="https://en.osm.town/tags/GDAL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#GDAL</a> like everybody else. Besides that, I use almost the same stack as <a href="https://en.osm.town/tags/OpenStreetMap" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#OpenStreetMap</a>: <a href="https://en.osm.town/tags/carto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#carto</a>-css for styling, <a href="https://en.osm.town/tags/mapnik" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#mapnik</a> for rendering, and my own set of tools for orchestrating and serving that.

Bryan FinkI’m tinkering with <a class="hashtag" href="https://couch.beerriot.com/tag/map" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#map</a> rendering, and I have to ask … what did everyone move to after <a class="hashtag" href="https://couch.beerriot.com/tag/mapnik" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Mapnik</a>?At least, it seems like Mapnik was at one time the most popular way to render raster tiles.
