I joined <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Facebook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Facebook</span></a> only because I had family also on there, plus other blind people that I knew, but it turned into more of a picture fest than anything, then the sensorship over silly stuff began over there, so I left <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/FakeBook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FakeBook</span></a>. It took me a couple years to catch on to <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mastodon</span></a>. My fave Social Network was <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/LiveJournal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LiveJournal</span></a>, especially for blogging.</p>

Even though we come from very different backgrounds I think we've been in touch online longer than almost anyone in the klezmer scene. J. R. DePriest :verified_trans: :donor: :Moopsy: :EA DATA. SF:<p>I'm writing little short stories that aren't very good. I find a fraction of an idea and write a thing around it. Just a few pages with a beginning, middle, and end.<br>I wrote a short story about a set of strange lights we saw on the road from the tree house one night. Probably two lone lightning bugs (or fireflies depending on where you live). But there were only two and they stayed so close together and we were certain they were blinking in unison.<br>Anyway.<br>I feel like there is something buried deep in my subconscious that is trying to dig its way out or may be trying to swim to the surface.<br>By writing these little things based on passing thoughts, I hope to encourage it to keep trying.<br>I hope I will grab onto the memory or idea trying to reach me in one of these and, when I start writing, it will become clear. It will write itself. They always write themselves. I wanted to write a one page story last week, but to get to the scene I had in my mind, I had to write four pages or it wouldn't make sense.<br>The ideas have lives of their own.<br>I hope I find whatever it is that vexes me.<br>I hope it finds its way out.<br>I've not been in the frame of mind to write a story even if it isn't going to be that good. I normally work it over and over and over in my head and then write it down. I'm not doing that now. I'm taking a small pebble and building on top of it with clay, not quite knowing what the final form will resemble.<br>It's interesting.<br>I think I'll write about the Evil House next. It was just a three room abandoned shack on the dirt road where my dad lives, but teenagers frequented it and it had graffiti including some that was trying to be satanic. We had an interesting Ouija board experience there. Also, the back porch attic was full of bees. It's gone now. Not sure if it was torn down, burned down, or just fell down. But I think I can write a story about it.</p><p>I should probably be writing this in my journal instead of online, but I'm at work and my journal is in the other room.<br>Listening to music, getting ready to jump into some exciting saved searched filter creation for complicated vulnerability ownership assignment.<br>Story of my life.
