CaledonMoneypit 🇨🇦OK..... I didn't go back to bed because my wife reminded me that I had to put out our 8 bins of yard waste for pickup. Spring cleanup has been limited to just a couple of days over the last 2 weeks because of snow, ice storms, and cold weather. The only upside is being trapped inside and forced to purge and pack for our move in June. Jason RushI hate this stupid bottle-episode trend. When TV used to be 24 episodes a season, sure, take an episode to do a random story. But with 10 episode seasons? This Is My GlasgowLove this rather grumpy looking sculpture on Saint Mary's Espiscopal Cathedral on Great Western Road in Glasgow. I just rented a car in the UK. It was a 2024 BMW. The entire dashboard was a widescreen iPad. The first 20 minutes of my time were just “old man yells at cloud.” I had to pair with it and swear at it. And the driver experience was awful. For example I am navigating using my phone. The map is big and wide and easy to read. My wife decides to turn on her heated seat. No big deal. The ENTIRE fucking iPad turns into a giant picture of 2 chairs with buttons for selecting heat. No radio. No map. No nothing but the gigantic picture of seats. What happened to buttons? Knobs? Dials? Sliders? Anything. I am a <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/grumpy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#grumpy</a> old man. JimmyB (he/him)Feeling grumpy with tech companies this morning. Funny that. Both my anti-virus & MS apps have decided they will make my default language German. That's lovely n'all, but a) I didn't ask them too, so please could they ABSOLUTELY FUCK OFF playing with my settings, and b) I don't really speak that much German so no idea - specially with the Norton, how to change it back.How is it possible for tech co's to be so blindly and permanently annoying?
