Tuomas TammistoI have been opposed to the for-profit academic publishing model for a long-time. <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/Elsevier" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Elsevier</a>, <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/Springer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Springer</a>, <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/TaylorAndFrancis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#TaylorAndFrancis</a> etc. are mere rent-extractors. It is a deeply unethical industry. And that's why I volunteer for a non-profit <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/OpenAccess" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#OpenAccess</a> journal.But I did not know Elsevier and T&F were so actively advancing the <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/FossilFuel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FossilFuel</a> industry—in an era of <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/ClimateCrisis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ClimateCrisis</a>. All the more reason to <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/StopElsevier" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#StopElsevier</a>!
