DesertFOX<p>Holy cow, this was a bit tricky. Earlier tonight, I had found some "Space Quest" disk images from an old Apple IIgs. I wanted to check them out in ScummVM.</p><p>First, I had to find a way to extract the data from these A2R images, then rename and collect all of the necessary files. Took me quite a while to get the in-game music playing, but in the end ... everything worked! The game's soundtrack on the IIgs is glorious! It's even better than what's possible on the Amiga!</p><p>These are the disk images I'd found:<br><a href="https://archive.org/details/wozaday_Space_Quest_IIgs" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">archive.org/details/wozaday_Sp</span><span class="invisible">ace_Quest_IIgs</span></a></p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/SpaceQuest" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SpaceQuest</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/ScummVM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ScummVM</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/RetroGaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroGaming</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/RetroGames" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroGames</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Soundtrack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Soundtrack</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Emulation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Emulation</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/FloppyDisk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FloppyDisk</span></a></p>
JimmyChezPants 🇨🇦<p>So while I was up all night hacking and wheezing I finally got around to installing <a href="https://growers.social/tags/scummvm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>scummvm</span></a> and I indulged myself in a few games that I never got around to at the time. Didn't finish any obviously but have to say, the Blade Runner point-and-click from the 90s is not bad at all. </p><p>It being Sunday and my throat out of commission, there will be no musical shenanigans at all, so I believe I will make some baguettes, maybe some brioches, and see if I can retire these skin jobs.</p><p>Does the fedi have a good <a href="https://growers.social/tags/streaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>streaming</span></a> system yet? Cause I'd stream it, and my hacking, I have a HDMI capture card and the necessaries, but I don't wanna go on Twitch.</p>

Thomas Fach-Pedersen<p>I've been trying to get a grasp on the Macromedia Director format, in an effort to help out on ScummVM’s support of the format. <br>Following what I consider the sound principle of "you can't understand it unless you do it yourself", I've been making a basic decoder which can now dump images from, at least, one game: Ivanoff Interactive's Magnus og Myggen.<br>I haven't yet done anything that ScummVM can't do, but I'm learnink!<br><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/scummvm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>scummvm</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ReverseEngineering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ReverseEngineering</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/macromediadirector" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>macromediadirector</span></a></p>
