Matt C<p>So this arrived. Feels really solidly built, and took 5 minutes to set up M5Launcher. Now to try out the assorted firmwares! <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/cardputer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cardputer</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/m5cardputer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>m5cardputer</span></a></p>
concretedog<p>And then, just in case people want them and don't have a printer, or access to one, I've put up some of the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/M5Cardputer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>M5Cardputer</span></a> rugged lanyard add on plates, complete with the technics connectors and the oversize bolt. <a href="https://www.tindie.com/products/concreted0g/m5cardputer-rugged-lanyard-plate/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">tindie.com/products/concreted0</span><span class="invisible">g/m5cardputer-rugged-lanyard-plate/</span></a></p>
concretedog<p>Wrote this up the other day for <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://hackaday.social/@tindie" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>tindie</span></a></span> , someone has made an RPN calculator for the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/M5Cardputer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>M5Cardputer</span></a> it's a cool idea! <a href="https://blog.tindie.com/2025/01/using-m5cardputer-as-rpn-calculator/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">blog.tindie.com/2025/01/using-</span><span class="invisible">m5cardputer-as-rpn-calculator/</span></a></p>
Tindie Maker Marketplace<p>Using M5Cardputer as RPN Calculator <a href="https://hackaday.social/tags/TindieBlog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TindieBlog</span></a> <a href="https://hackaday.social/tags/M5Cardputer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>M5Cardputer</span></a> <a href="https://hackaday.social/tags/RPN" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RPN</span></a><br><a href="https://blog.tindie.com/2025/01/using-m5cardputer-as-rpn-calculator/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">blog.tindie.com/2025/01/using-</span><span class="invisible">m5cardputer-as-rpn-calculator/</span></a></p>
concretedog<p>A little more prototyping on the rugged lanyard attachement for the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/m5cardputer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>m5cardputer</span></a> it now is the same depth as the official M5 addons and the retaining bolt is snugly recessed. Might print a few and chuck em with the correct bolt and technics connectors on my <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://hackaday.social/@tindie" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>tindie</span></a></span> shop and I'll upload the model somewhere as well!</p>
concretedog<p>First little prototype addon for the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/m5cardputer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>m5cardputer</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/cardputer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cardputer</span></a> I felt the tiny lanyard attachement point was way to flimsy and so have added a robust PETG lanyard plate using both the technics connectors and an extended version of the existing case bolt. Really rugged and can receive total overkill paracord! New <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/wearable" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wearable</span></a> unlocked! :)</p>
concretedog<p>Now we're cooking! Got the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/m5cardputer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>m5cardputer</span></a> set up with the M5launcher so I can browse and download to sd or install custom firmwares. You can then switch firmwares on the device. Really nice little serial UART tool discovered (MicroCOM) as well as all the fun flipper esque stuff like Bruce! cc <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.me.uk/@solderandchaos" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>solderandchaos</span></a></span></p>
