George Ellenburg (he/him/his)<p>Hopefully one day we will have a <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/Fediverse" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Fediverse</a> platform that fully incorporates <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/IPFS" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#IPFS</a> as its storage mechanism. Think about how much better the Fediverse would be if (by default) all clients and hosts had built-in IPFS support. <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/federation" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#federation</a> <a href="https://bofh.social/tags/FileStorage" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FileStorage</a></p>

Fission<p>Webnative File System is a versioned content-addressable distributed file system with private and public sub-systems. It offers concurrent writes and offline access. </p><p>The protocol is open source, and we have worked with the community to build a Rust implementation. </p><p>Special thanks to the Banyan team, who worked on large files, and the Functionland team, who worked on mobile. Functionland also made a React native version! <a href="https://plnetwork.xyz/tags/distributedsystems" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>distributedsystems</span></a> <a href="https://plnetwork.xyz/tags/filestorage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>filestorage</span></a></p>
42yeah<p>Hey guys, today's <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/Blog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Blog</span></a> post is gonna be a little bit special. Lately I've been working on PENEfiles, a digital file cabinet solution, where you can store your files online and manage them using a tagging system. You can also create notes using markdown and cross-reference everything within the system. It's like ownCloud or Seafile, but faster. Please check out the full pitch if you are interested!</p><p><a href="https://blog.42yeah.is/featured/2023/05/06/introducing-penefiles.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">blog.42yeah.is/featured/2023/0</span><span class="invisible">5/06/introducing-penefiles.html</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/SelfHosted" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SelfHosted</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/FileStorage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FileStorage</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/Productivity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Productivity</span></a></p>
