sgt1372<p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Movies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Movies</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/XmasMovies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>XmasMovies</span></a></p><p>So, I just watched the <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/movie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>movie</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/DieHard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DieHard</span></a> (1998) again after many years and, despite those who think to the contrary, I've decided that, even though it is shot during the Xmas season, it is NOT an Xmas movie in the traditional sense. </p><p>There are many other movies that were set (in whole or part) during the Xmas season but none of those are thought of as Xmas movies.</p><p>To me, DieHard is mainly an action film set during the Xmas season with a romantic subplot but it's not an Xmas movie which inspires one with the feelings giving, love &amp; acceptance from family &amp;/or community which is typical of such movies.</p><p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/ItsAWonderfulLife" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ItsAWonderfulLife</span></a> (1946) the most obvious example of the genre.</p><p>So, for those of you who have seen it, what do you think? Is DieHard (the movie) an Xmas movie to you or not?</p>
