A small problem, really: Conservation of Mass.</p><p>How does a <a href="https://mastodon.coffee/tags/chestburster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>chestburster</span></a> grow into a full-sized baddy without eating its weight in <a href="https://mastodon.coffee/tags/prey" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>prey</span></a>?</p><p>Also, it has an <a href="https://mastodon.coffee/tags/exoskeleton" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>exoskeleton</span></a> -- where are the molted shells?</p><p>And what nutrients could it get from its food to get <a href="https://mastodon.coffee/tags/blood" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>blood</span></a> that <a href="https://mastodon.coffee/tags/acidic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>acidic</span></a>?</p><p>OK, OK, fine, 3 small problems. Three biggish small problems, Suspension of Disbelief notwithstanding.</p>
