ein kleines z<p>Weil ich es gerade wieder gesehen habe, diesmal beim <a href="https://queer.group/tags/Tuntenhaus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tuntenhaus</span></a> <a href="https://queer.group/tags/TuntenhausRetten" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TuntenhausRetten</span></a> <a href="https://queer.group/tags/TuntenhausBleibt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TuntenhausBleibt</span></a></p><p>Benutzt niemals change.org <a href="https://queer.group/tags/changeDotOrg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>changeDotOrg</span></a> für Petitionen.

Michael Hartle<p>Ah, so at least the confirmation of my <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/changeDotOrg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>changeDotOrg</span></a> "membership" made it through after some moments.</p><p>Whatever credibility there was by promoting change, this way of interacting with people believing in a cause has burned it to the ground for me.</p><p>Interactions like these make me petition my MP for regulating / criminalising the use of such <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/deceptive" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>deceptive</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/darkpatterns" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>darkpatterns</span></a>.</p>
Michael Hartle<p>Ah, some online petition on <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/changeDotOrg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>changeDotOrg</span></a> for a worthy cause; okay, I will sign it. Hm, support this cause with a donation sounds good, I guess, I heard from them; okay, I will donate some bucks. Hm, I have been buying ad views for my cause - a bit strange, but... well, it's the cause.</p><p>Ah, my confirmation of my donation... ah, and... a confirmation of... a monthly donation membership in the same amount - how unexpected?!?</p>
FiXato<p>Another <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/UX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UX</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/PetPeeve" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PetPeeve</span></a> rant: while I'm okay with content that's loaded gradually by scrolling or 'load more' links, such as comments, my current position in those should be remembered and navigating back and forth to that page should restore that same content. Or at least reduce the chance of navigating away from that dynamic content.<br>Not as for example how change.org has implemented signing reasons (comments) on their site, where too long comments get a 'read more' link which <em>load a different page to show the full comment</em> instead of just loading the rest of the comment via xhr in-place.<br>After reading that comment I: </p><ul><li>now I have to use my back button, </li><li><em>wait for the comments section to get loaded again</em>, </li><li>click on 'show all reasons' to load more than the 2 that automatically get shown, </li><li><em>scroll back myself to where I left off</em></li><li>see another comment with 'read more' and decide ot just give up and fuck off.</li></ul><p><a href="https://toot.cat/tags/changeDotOrg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>changeDotOrg</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/UI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UI</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/UXFail" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UXFail</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/webDev" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>webDev</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/dearDeveloper" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dearDeveloper</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/rant" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>rant</span></a></p>
censored for “transphobia”<p><span class="h-card"><a href="https://qoto.org/@freemo" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>freemo</span></a></span> <span class="h-card"><a href="https://qoto.org/@marathon" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>marathon</span></a></span> It's convenient &amp; time-saving to know this. Anytime a <a href="https://freeradical.zone/tags/petition" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>petition</span></a> is on <a href="https://freeradical.zone/tags/ActionNetwork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ActionNetwork</span></a>.org, <a href="https://freeradical.zone/tags/ChangeDotOrg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ChangeDotOrg</span></a>, or <a href="https://freeradical.zone/tags/MoveOn" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MoveOn</span></a>.org, it's easy to ignore it before even reading what it's about. Whatever it is, it's not worth your drop-in-the-ocean sig to risk your privacy &amp; help someone undermine what should be a democratic process. If a petition is on <a href="https://freeradical.zone/tags/openpetition" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>openpetition</span></a>.org then it's worth a look.</p>
