Bei Busuu war mir das Tempo am Ende zu hoch, das gelernte war noch nicht wirklich vertieft, da wird man schon gedrängt weiter zu machen.Am meisten haben mich die VHS-Kurse weiter gebracht und der Aufenthalt von 1 Monat in Spanien.

Ya que le caemos bien a él, él nos cae bien. Da er uns mag, mögen wir ihn. Aber brauch ich auch nicht, weil ich nicht so funktioniere und den wohl auch nie benötige. Ich habe jetzt schon öfter gelesen, das <a href="https://troet.cafe/tags/busuu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#busuu</a> besser wäre. Hat da jemand von Euch Erfahrung damit? Ich habe übrigens heute einen 600-tägigen Streak, aber nichts geschenkt bekommen. Ich find es eine Abzockerapp mit viel zu viel KI.

I would have quit earlier but I figured I'd hit this milestone first. From now on it's just reading, podcasts, YouTube, and other apps - <a href="https://polyglot.city/tags/Busuu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Busuu</a> for example. And continuing to build my own system.

Seems pretty good so far. Also, although I'm not doing the Duolingo course, their French podcast is good - interesting stories told at a reasonable pace (though I'd prefer it if it didn't jump back to English every few sentences). I can also recommend Easy French (YouTube + podcast), although obviously it's not a course in an app. Another podcast is Coffee Break French, although it's a bit touristy for me.

Nave :ms_furry_pride:Since that <a href="https://meow.social/tags/Duolingo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Duolingo</a> started using AI to steal content from the community and laying off their employees due to this, I canceled my subscription with them and stopped using the app.I came across <a href="https://meow.social/tags/Busuu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Busuu</a>, and they do offer a similar experience as Duolingo, what sold me on it is the “Community” tab - you as a native speaker of your language can offer feedback to those who are learning your language. (See picture below for an example).Only downsides are if you had a streak, you’ll have to start over and you’ll have to find out where you are in their course, and you lose the friends you had on DL. But they have actual videos of people speaking, which helps me as a HoH/deaf learner to lipread a bit!Also, they offer 30-day free trial of their premium (ad-free) for every friend I invite, up to an year’s worth (and the friend gets 30 days too).
