We've limited notifications from mastodon.social again because we're getting a lot of spam from them, again.
Unrelated, but I have noticed that some servers seem marked as hidden: we get a message from mathstodon.xyz but it does not impede us from subscribing
Do you advise against subscribing to users of such servers?
Just a curiosity/good practice question. I have no apriori on the point: Any complementary information would be interesting.
@stphrolland no, usually servers are just hidden because we've had spam from them, and hiding them means that people don't get notifications about mentions from that server. It's still fine to follow accounts on those servers.
