Why don't we write the logarithm like this? It feels like teaching students what logarithms are is way more painful than teaching roots, but this notation emphasizes that they are perfectly analogous.

I can provide my rough source for this if people are interested.

Five typeset equations. The first shows how squaring a number and taking its square root cancel each other out. The second shows the analogous thing for exponentiation and the logarithm, but an upside-down radical symbol take the place of the usual "log" notation. The third equation shows this also, but places a small "e" in the radical to indicate that the base is in fact Euler's number. The last two equations show the rules for how products and exponents interact with logarithms using this new notation.

@anemofilia Neat! Although I think flipping the radical has a better shot at widespread use due to the amount of space the triangle notation takes up.
