Today on #blog I published a post about a very cool tool - #ZeroTier, which allows you to open yourself a secure gateway to your home network that allows you to access it from the outside even if you don’t have a public IP address. Especially useful for remote access to #smarthome! Even newbie can handle this with my tutorial.

@BjornW #localsend excellent tool. Use it between Apple, Windows, and Linux in conjunction with #zerotier

and yes i am still wildly passionately in love with #tailscale and need to find a handle for them in federated space. still like #zerotier! but tailscale on #tvOS is a killer app.

sidebar: #proxmox's kernel is spamming errors in the #E1000 driver code so i need to find a half-height 10Gbps ethernet adapter or two. sigh.

How long until we get an application that bridges #Tailscale, #ZeroTier, #Nebula, etc networks? Or does that already exist?

I have compared several self-meshing VPN solutions - especially in the context of a VIXP in dn42.

TLDR: The one VPN solution that meets all my criteria is the pre-release version of Tinc.

On occasion I want to access some #homelab stuff while on the go. Pondering solutions for that.

I've tried #Cloudflare Tunnels for some stuff, and that's neat, but has some privacy issues.

Something like #ZeroTier/#Tailscale, maybe? Primarily interested in accessing some web UIs running on my homelab, accessing the NAS remotely is a bonus.
