#discord IS LITERALLY THE PROBLEM!

It's worse than any #IRC, #Mumble or even the old #TeamSpeak & #Skype for that matter.
It combines the disadvantages of #Forum, #paywalled #documentation, #chat and #voicechat with 0 redeeming qualities (unlike #Zulip & Mumble & #XMPP+#OMEMO) it's just an #InformationBlackhole!

I'm shure fecking #dread has better moderation and I'd rather use #MicrosoftTeams + #Slack cuz those at least have proper #moderation tools.

And I'd rather subscribe to the #LKML and see my inbox getting hosed than using any shitty #SaaS!

Case in point: I'd rather #SelfHost all my comms infrastructure than to ever use something like Discord or any other #GDPR-violating SaaS that is just enshittification.

I'd rather recommend people to instead choose a tool that does everything but horrible to go with multiple smaller & good tools

Seria top o Governo ter uma plataforma dele de comunicação onde todos serviços públicos comuniquem com cidadãos por ali. Dentro do app Gov.br.

O Governo mantém sua soberania, não obriga cidadão a usar solução prioritária de bilionário e se fosse federado com XMPP o cidadão que já tem outra conta poderia comunicar, por exemplo, do seu isaCloud Messenger com os contatos dos serviços públicos sem precisar entrar no Gov.br.

Poderiam usar o próprio nome do canal deles que é Fala.BR.

O XMPP é realmente foda porque é descentralizado, federado, livre e tecnologicamente incrível

Gajim 2.1.0 est dispo avec 2 grandes améliorations :
- Le flux d'activités : un espace qui dans le futur permettra de voir les réactions, demande de contacts, mentions, etc
- Le support de Message Displayed Synchronization (XEP-0490) : ça synchronise vos discussions lus, finis le coup des discussions qu'on a déjà lus en non lus sur téléphones ou ordi quand on passe de l'un à l'autre !
