The trees are changing, autumn is whizzing by.
This afternoon walk was a treat before the main treat for me. Catching this view made it all the more special.
I'm heading to see my son in Australia, he turns 20 on Monday

Good morning tooters. It’s a lovely cool 18c outside right now, gorgeous clear blue sky & even better it will be staying under 30c today - 29c is forecast. Hell of a storm yesterday, so the garden is lovely damp & fresh #Weather.
I’ve started packing up for the picnic & day trip with my granddaughters. I’d been tossing up driving to Falls Creek or to Mt Buffalo. The temps in these places have decided me. Falls Creek will only reach 11c, Mt Buffalo to 20c, so that’s where we’re going. I was kind of looking forward to Falls Creek though, it’s been too many years since I’ve walked up there. Oh well, a trip for another day. #Picnic #Family #Walks.
Hope everyone has a wonderful #Thursday - enjoy the day.
A lovely day for a walk around Knepp rewilding which has some magnificent ancient oaks. Surprised to see several overwintering storks, and the largest collective of red kite I've seen in Sussex. Lots of redwing and field fare. Well worth a visit but take your own drinks and snacks as the cafe is eye wateringly expensive.(£7.50 for a cheese scone)

Today’s word is _languid_, thanks to my weird energy levels. I had a lovely walk from Kensington to Footiscray past the Chinese Temple / 天后宫 in the morning, but after that a strange tiredness overtook me. I could force myself to walk a bit and it felt ok, but every time I sat down on a train or a tram or a bus, I felt at risk of not being able to get up again. Having forced myself to Do Things until 4pm, I’ve showered and really am resting. No gym today, then. Bleh.
All that said, I appreciate the quietness of the city before 8am, the Really Quite Good Guy at the Good Guys this arvo who was helpful and patient with my questions about air conditioners, and the Cambodian Baguette place in South Preston that continues to make lovely food.
NGL, I'm pretty anxious and stressed about the election today. I could really use a 10 mile #run today, but the sprained ankle is in the "turning green" phase of healing. Instead, I'm going to try to:
* Finish 3 work projects.
* Take 3 #walks.
* Listen to the complete works of a '70s #funk band that I've never listened to before.
