Pete Prodoehl 🍕<p>I finally finished this custom USB Controller using a 12 position switch. The customer will be using it as a USB MIDI Controller where they want to select 11 different settings.</p><p>It's a bit taller than I'd like but the switch is pretty tall and I need a certain amount of space for the PCB and controller.</p><p>The enclosure is 3D printed and so is the knob. Even gave it it's own namespace so only those pods have elevated privileges to access the <a href="https://toot-toot.wyrihaxim.us/tags/SDR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SDR</span></a> plugged into the <a href="https://toot-toot.wyrihaxim.us/tags/USB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>USB</span></a> port. Both feeders are now connecting to that pod. Also started enabling <a href="https://toot-toot.wyrihaxim.us/tags/MLAT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MLAT</span></a> for bonus points, but had to give those pods a lot more CPU becausing that turns out to be very timing sensitive 😅</p>

Experience tells me i. this won't work ii. it will make the cd's unreadable on anything but the original device. &amp; please don't suggest downloading from the <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> site. Tried 3 times, each time, 'fail to install'.</p>

I downloaded the software to my <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/Fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fedora</span></a> system and it recognized the device over the modern <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/USB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>USB</span></a> interface and worked like a champ. </p><p>Well done, 20 years of <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/software" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>software</span></a> develoment and backwards compatibility!</p>

It was advertising USB-controlled vibrators in 5 tasty colors that could be daisy chained. I guess this was 1999? Das war gar nicht ausgewiesen bzw. ersichtlich. Natürlich bin ich von USB-C ausgegangen und habe dafür ein Flachbandkabel verlegt. Das kann doch alles nicht wahr sein. 😱 😡</p>
