after meeting up with and chatting with @wake.st about geotagging and note-taking … I've come up with a nice way to integrate geotags into my #TiddlyWiki Thanks to @jermolene.bsky.social GeoSpatial plugin, I created metadata GUI elements revealing a note's origin/modified GPS coordinates.
The subtitle icons themselves function as buttons, which re-direct to a note that is generated via a template containing a geomap widget, and the coordinates as the note title, stored when either of the two ViewToolbar buttons is pressed.
Now the subtitle—in addition to showing the timestamps—contains a location pin icon for the origin GPS coordinates, and a globe icon for the last modified version GPS coordinates.
These are set manually, just to keep things more intentional and optimized, via two new ViewToolbar buttons: fetch current coordinates (for the most recent coordinates) … and set created coordinates, which will populate fields for a tiddler's origin coords.

It seems that markdown killed the desire for implementing wikitext for recent wikis. Everything created after >2010 seems to use markdown and call it a day. Does anyone now of a recent wiki that doesn't use markdown? The only one I can think of is #tiddlywiki

I refactored the [[Bookcase]] in my wiki … it might be a good topic for a video tutorial someday.
Instead of loading in different stored lists as a way of filtering the content, I now have one list that is filtered dynamically that both list (text) views and cover (image) views adhere to, making for neat on-the-fly re-arranging of the same list, and much more optimized.

based off of a similar solution by Charlie_Veniot, I have solved one of the long-standing friction points with adding images to my digital garden in TiddlyWiki.
This image importer will accept drag/drop links of image files (via the filesystem viewed in a webbrowser i.e. file:///Users/myPath/…) plus being able to quickly designate them into specific system directories via checkbox, or just supply the custom path directly

TiddlyWiki seems like the perfect tool, the most capable system for realizing the hypothetical Arcades project of Walter Benjamin, the sprawling, non-linear hyperobject he spent decades assembling, spanning thousands of pages of cryptic and disparate notes and errata.

This seems oddly specific. I'd be surprised if anything worked exactly like that.
You can construct something that uses / as a pseudo directory structure in #TiddlyWiki . Then use a view template to display the root of the tree as a tree. And you can use a permalink to open up that branch immediately.
TW will also let you build a TOC out of tags tagging tags, which is actually a better data structure to work with.

I have implemented a WebComponent that makes it so tootIds attached as fields to tiddlers will pull in the respective replies. It's quite neat. (also reminding myself that @liaizon suggested I make a write up on this process in case others are interested).
It took ages but I figured out you can force a tiddler to display as plain text by setting the field "code-body" to "yes" https://github.com/TiddlyWiki/TiddlyWiki5/blob/0dda07e3f194f344af7665b6d7fb7fca8970bccb/core/wiki/config/ViewTemplateBodyFilters.multids
I would like to do this for Tiddlers with a "type" of "application/rss+xml" but this is fine for now.
