Here's the dress, as I've been boring you for weeks. It it did *not* look like arse, aside from the bustle, which was a whole truckload of arse...

Really proud of this; it probably wouldn't have been *that* complex a make if it had come in my size, but I had to work out how to make an extra 4in of room for my front...

I'll be recycling the Morris-print fabric into a blouse.

A fat, middle-aged redheaded white woman standing by a river. She is wearing a Victorian-style dress. The top is a close-fitting bodice designed to look like a jacket over a blouse; the fake jacket part is in black taffeta while the fake blouse is of a William Morris print cloth in grean, amber and white on an almost-black green background. The bottom half of the dress is a swagged overskirt in the Morris fabric, pinned at the sides so it forms a sort of apron at the front, over a black taffeta underskirt. The woman look very happy, as well she might, because this bastard dress took months to make as the pattern wasn't actually in her size.

At a #steampunk event. Watched teapot racing. Have now gone to a pub for lunch and a beer in the sun, listening to birds chirp. A good day!

Tonight the dress I’ve been working on for weeks gets its outing. Fingers crossed it doesn’t look like arse!
