Yesterday, the #sparrowhawk
was hunting among the struts of the harbor piers. It was probably looking for tasty swallows.
The question of the day is: Which bird is this? - Well, obviously it's a #Sparrowhawk but I mean its prey - it's already plucked and eaten quite a bit - but a distinctive yellow leg is still left - and it wasn't a small bird.
Despite various leg comparisons, I still don't have a match...

A female Sparrowhawk at NWT Cley Marshes on Friday.
She was perched on a post next to the boardwalk, stayed there for maybe a second or two as we rounded the corner and saw her. Just as I got my camera to my eye she was off!
