Another stair climber session… Improved my time for 5000+ steps (1000m of EG) from 48:30 (ten days ago) down to 45min.

5111 steps / 1022m of EG / 300 floors / 45 min

5min @ 96steps/min
5min @ 110
5 x (1min @ 130 and 1min @ 110)
5min @ 110
5 x (1min @ 130 and 1min @ 110)
10min @ 110

Fresh “stair legs” with 2 days of easy running after the monster outdoor stair session in the neighborhood last Saturday.

It's not just for the Easter Bunny …

"It’s easy, it requires no equipment, and if you start doing it right now, over the next few weeks you may notice your stride is more efficient and you are #running stronger (perhaps even faster). What is this secret? Hopping”

Half marathon training
Week 17, run 1/3

It's not a lucky period. I was supposed to do a tempo session with 10' warm-up at slow pace and 3x10' at fast pace but my left knee didn't like it, so I did just one interval and stopped.

As soon as my calf gets better, the knee, a part of my body that has never bothered me so far, inexplicably hurts.

The plan now is to focus on knee exercises in my strength training and try to complete all workouts.

Tuesday #Workout:
11 minutes of yoga for runners.
10 minutes of strength training.
10 minutes of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).
210 seconds of plank.
15.3 KM of #Running (3°C, 100% humidity, and 14 km/hr wind).

Moved plank to after the workouts to make it easier to do them with @TAV. Good run, got rained on for the last 4 KMs or so.

It's interesting seeing the progression over time (thanks, spreadsheet), with the slow but steady approach towards my current goal. It's still so hard.

Did my first run in seven weeks today, after a hamstring tear. Took it really, easy, and just did 4km. Feeling sore now but it feels good to have been moving about finally. It’s been a challenge to just accept things, and not become too frustrated.
