#resolutions

I don’t make resolutions for the new year. But I do make some easily-achievable aims that don’t require much effort or discipline. I don’t even write them down. So I can’t even tell you if I hit all of my aims. All I know is that I did pretty good with last year’s aims that I *did* hit, which was to eat more salads and to try new local restaurants. There were probably others, like getting more sleep, or drinking more water, which I didn’t do so great at.

The beeping pattern that was playing in the background when Ensign Kim said that a convoy of Vidiian ships was detected consisted for four short beeps.

That particular pattern is extremely similar to the rhythm of the four heart beats of a Time Lord, as emphasized in Tenth Doctor and Fourteenth Doctor stories that involve the Master (Harold Saxon and O).

Having a longer-term goal and plan is better, suggested Duggan, who works with professional athletes and amateur fitness enthusiasts... Start small if you’re a newcomer: Go from walking or jogging in January a couple of times a week to running 25 minutes two or three times a week in February and longer in March. Then set another goal for the next quarter.

I am adding a fourth goal to my 2025 #resolutions

4. Spend One hour each week in Silent Meditation

What I mean by silent is no podcasts, no music, no talking, not watching anything, no reading.

Last year I was very anxious and it physically hurt me. I looked at my creative works and for the entire year I did three. THREE!

What did I do for myself? Why can't I think? Why can't I write? Because I let everyone else's needs and opinions take priority over my own healthy thoughts.

Wish me luck.
